A Librarian? It’s No Accident

I believe there are no accidents. The breadcrumb path of your true desires, interests and intuition will lead you to what is right for you at the right time.

Although I have always loved books and been excited about the promise they hold, my goal was not to be a librarian. Instead, I was a grade school teacher until I retired, and then I developed a rental business. My path led me to detours and lessons along the way, things I needed to know for the evolution of my soul. I became a spiritual seeker, looking for knowledge and wisdom, learning more and more the importance of following my heart, and learning to pay more attention to the breadcrumbs being dropped in front of me. When I learned that the Jwalan Muktika School needed help cataloguing books for the Belk library, I felt that this was something I would pursue no matter what. My noisy mind, always at the ready to object to my ideas, was silent in the face of my conviction.

In spite of the inevitable twists and turns and delays along this new pursuit, I felt more strongly with each step that this was where I belonged. When I was offered the position of librarian for the Jwalan Muktika library and the Belk library, I gladly accepted, knowing it was no accident. I am excited to share these beautiful books with others, and to continue forward on my path. Where will your breadcrumbs of interests and intuition lead you?
